remarks: old clay roofing tiles can be used on surfaces that are not touched directly by flues, ema mortar is used to affix and set firebricks and plates. the clay is used as expansion joint and/or filling material. the quartz sand is added to any kind of ceramical mortar and is also used for covering the bottom of the oven with wieselburger baking plates (loosely tiled!!) to build the vault, the construction of a collapsible wooden form is recommended. oven doors are offered by various companies it is best to buy firebricks and plates from a tile stove setter located near you; so you have a pro at your side who can advise you if any questions come up. material costs are ~ € 2300 not including shipping |
